This section presents widgets specifically created for Captivate. They are written in AS3 and fully support the Widget API offered by Captivate.
An Interactive Label is a Captivate Widget aiming at highlighting important areas of an image or slide.
The CpNotepad widget offers a way for your users to take personal notes while taking your courses. The notes are stored locally on the user computer so that they are available the next time the user takes the course. The notes can also be exported to a HTML file for archiving or printing.
This Jumbled Words Widget is a simple word game where the user needs to find a word or sentence from a stack of jumbled letters. The widget is filled with options that allows you to customize the game to your needs.
The Image Zoom widget is a Captivate 5 widget that creates a thumbnail from an image and displays it full size when clicked on. This is very useful when you want to save real estate in a quiz.
The Playbar Lock widget allows you to prevent a learner from advancing the presentation through the next page button or the progress bar.
The jumbled word widget was introduced by Adobe in Cp4. This widget was originally written in AS2 but I rewrote it in AS3. So the widget is now available for both Cp4 and Cp5. The Slide Duration Widget will calculate a slide’s duratin and copy the value in a captivate variable so you can use this data in your presentation.
The Youtube Widget allows you to embed, in your Captivate presentation, a video hosted on Youtube.
